Sonja Simonsen
Sonja Simonsen is the director of finance for Wellington Management, Inc. Sonja oversees and coordinates the financings and equity placements of assets under management by Wellington Management, Inc. She consults regularly with investors on their financial objectives and oversees financial reporting for assets in the Wellington portfolio. Sonja’s most recent accomplishment was to complete $130 million in loan financings.
Before joining Wellington Management, Inc. in January 2006, Sonja worked 10 years in real estate finance; most recently with Bremer Bank N.A. Sonja also represented Wellington Management, Inc., on the Midway Chamber Board of Directors, 2001-2006, is a Past-President for Kiwanis, a past Judge in the Carlson School of Management New Venture Challenge, and a past participant in MNCREW, Habitat for Humanity, and Arthritis Foundation. Sonja is a Magna Cum Laude graduate of Hamline University in St. Paul. She is an avid soccer player and EPL, La Liga, and World Cup Soccer fan.
