Greg Croucher, Property Manager & Matterport Operator
Greg Croucher has been with Wellington Management for two years, having joined the team in February 2023. Greg is one of our property managers & leasing agents, and he manages 10 properties in the portfolio.
Greg is known around the office for being very hands-on with his projects. He says it’s very important to get to know your tenants and buildings. Listening to your tenants is a key to success, since they know the day-to-day at the building better than anyone else. Every building and every lease are different, so working closely with your tenant is vital to a successful working relationship. Since starting with WMI two years ago, Greg says he has learned a lot about leasing and project management. Although property management isn’t too far from what he did in his previous job, leasing and large-scale project management are newer skills.
Greg loves the variety that each day brings. With each day comes a new set of challenges and opportunities, and Greg enjoys that his job allows him to meet new vendors, community organizers, and prospective tenants. He loves staying active, so getting out from behind the desk and onto the property is vital to his job well-done.
Beyond getting out and about during the workday, Greg likes to stay active in his personal time. He coaches hockey, spends time with his grandkids, enjoys walking through local parks, and travels often to Costa Rica. He also spends much of his spare time during the warmer months tending to veteran graves around the cities, working with local cemeteries to restore grave markers, maintain plots, and ensure the veterans are noted in historical record. His attention to detail and hands-on approach are also perfectly suited to his hobbies of woodworking, jigsaw puzzles, and photography.
Greg’s interest in photography is utilized as WMI’s Matterport operator. The Matterport camera is used to create 3D tours of suites, allowing viewers to virtually walk through a space. Greg has been Matterporting for a little over a year, having seen a need for it when our former Matterport operator took a step back to work on other projects, and since then, he has done countless showcases of vacancies and newly-renovated suites. He believes that the 3D tours created by the Matterport technology are valuable in marketing spaces and he says he’s happy to help his fellow property managers by providing this service. The equipment can be technically challenging, says Greg, especially when there are many reflective surfaces or large, open spaces. He’s enjoyed learning the quirks of the software and would love to keep learning more about what the camera and program can do.
Greg’s professional goals for the future include learning how to pilot a camera drone and obtaining his CPM certification.
Greg’s curiosity, hands-on mentality, and thoroughness are great assets. His ability to form strong relationships with partners, vendors, and tenants is unique, and we are so thankful to have him on the WMI team.
