Alison Newton

Alison Newton is Vice President of Finance at Wellington Management, Inc. (WMI) where she oversees WMI's $275 million loan portfolio. She is responsible for working with the 20+ lenders who provide capital for the acquisition and development of Wellington properties. Additionally, Ali handles all aspects of loan administration and reporting to Wellington's financial institution partners. In 2013 alone, Ali managed 22 project financings totaling over $120 million. Prior to assuming her responsibilities as Finance Manager, Ali managed WMI's development accounting responsibilities . During this time, Ali also directed residential condominium construction and marketing efforts for the company. Before joining Wellington Management in 2005, Ali worked in residential closing services for Burnet Title and Coldwell Banker Burnet. Ali is a member of the National Association of Industrial & Office Properties (NAIOP) professional group as well as the Urban Land Institute. She is a graduate of the Leadership St. Paul program and she earned a B.A. in Mathematical Science and Theology from St. Catherine University. Ali has continued her education through courses taken at the MIT Center for Real Estate's Professional Development Institute in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
